I photograph to entertain myself. As a child my mother was always encouraging me to look deeper into the world and find the visual treasures - interesting juxtapositions of light and shadow, serendipitous ironies, ephemeral flashes of beauty and exquisite moments of balance. I search for the extra-ordinary in the ordinary. I am rarely without my camera. It is a tool that allows me to confirm and secure these fleeting moments in time. I have yet to experience anything in my life that is as consistently satisfying as seeking out and finding these riches. Ideally my final expressions are meant to convey the sense of wonder, humor and discovery I see all around me.
